The Gate — بوابة. Where the corridor formally begins. A 178-hectare mixed-use quarter housing the KETURAH Business Center, an education campus, a wellness garden, and the corridor's first formal arrival.
Twenty kilometres west of Damascus, where the Anti-Lebanon foothills begin to roll out into the corridor, a road climbs over a low rise and the country opens. Two stone pylons stand either side of the road — limestone, brass medallion, olive trees flanking. KETURAH SYRIA, the left pylon reads. حياة سورية كبرى, the right pylon answers. Bigger Life · Syria.
This is the door. Bawaba — بوابة — the gate. The point where Damascus ends and the corridor begins. The first thing every resident, every commuter, every visiting counterparty will see.
The site sits at 888 metres on a south-facing slope. Lower than Bustan, lower than Maqam, lower than Sabboura. The first community on the way in. The last on the way out.
Bawaba is the only community on the corridor that is genuinely mixed by use, not just by name. The KETURAH SYRIA Business Center anchors the north of the quarter — ninety-five thousand square metres of office GFA, the working address for the corridor's employers. A K-12 education campus sits east. The wellness centre and sensory garden sit central. The residential fabric runs south, looking back out across the plain.
The mobility hub is at the heart. From here, you can step onto the BRT spine east toward the T6 civic core, west toward Sabboura, south toward the agricultural belt and the airport. Or you walk — every household is within ten minutes of a school, a clinic, a mosque, a library, and a market.
The brand at the gate doesn't say "luxury residential". It says "Bigger Life · Syria". That is the discipline: bigger by quality of day, not by square footage.
Bawaba shows the most demanding use-mix of any community on the corridor — residential, office, civic, retail, parks, parking, mechanical, roads — eight types in one footprint. The 3D extrusion overlay on satellite makes each block visible.

Mixed-use means the rhythm of the day is plural — children commuting on foot, office workers commuting by BRT, families arriving at the wellness garden in the evening. The fabric carries all three.
The K-12 sits east of the civic spine. The drop-off plaza is sized for 1,800 students arriving on foot or by shuttle from the surrounding blocks. Parents stop at the lobby café, then head to the office district. Most children walk back to a courtyard within twelve minutes of school dismissal.
The KETURAH SYRIA Business Center fronts a plaza of stone, brass, and olive trees. Six-storey office floors, eighteen thousand square metres for the corridor's anchor employer, sixty-two thousand more for tenants. Lunch is taken outdoors most of the year; the shaded arcades carry the August midday.
The wellness sensory garden is the quarter's evening room — lavender, rosemary, native grasses, olive on stone benches, a low pergola network for shade. Children meet grandparents here. Office workers walk through on their way home. The garden is two minutes from the BRT station and four minutes from every doorstep.

Three-storey courtyard houses arranged around shared interior courts, set on the south slope of the quarter looking out over the plain. Quieter side — away from the office district, oriented to the family rhythm.

Four to five storey perimeter block with active ground floor — café, atelier, daily-needs retail. Sits along the civic spine and the market street; the BRT station is at the doorstep. Density that supports the corridor's working day.
Bawaba sits at the east-corridor inflection — closer to Damascus than any other community, served by the BRT spine directly inside the quarter, with the corridor expressway off-ramp serving the south gateway.
